Optimal navigation (ON) model - numerical implementation

Implementation of the optimal navigation (ON) model accompanying the paper 'Collective search with finite perception: transient dynamics and search efficiency' by Gosztolai et al., Frontiers in Physics (2019) 10:153<br><b>runON.m</b> runs the ON model in Matlab in various configurations and can be used to reproduce the results in the paper. The code has been written and tested in Matlab_R2017b.<br><b>ON1D.m </b>and <b>ON2D.m</b> are functions containing the 1D and 2D implementation of the ON model, which are called by runON.m<br><br>The <b>.avi</b> files contain simulations of the evolution in 2D for time horizons 5, 10, 100, 1000, as described in the paper.
