Contaminants in birds consumed in Nunavut: combining historical data with new measurements in the north Baffin region

Our project aims at measuring mercury, legacy and emerging Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) present in goose and murre eggs and body tissues collected around Pond Inlet. Collection of bird eggs was carried out by local hunters according to a sampling scheme that was designed jointly with the Mittimatalik Hunters and Trappers Organization.
