Retail sales of petroleum and related products in China by month 2020-2021

In August 2021, the trade revenue of petroleum and related products in China was around 168 billion yuan. The trading revenue decreased by roughly one fourth compared to 2019. Whereas in 2019, the trade value of petroleum products was between 167 and 181 billion yuan per month, it dropped to around 150 billion yuan per month in 2020 and 2021. This drop is potentially the result of the economic impact of COVID-19.
