资源简介:
This dataset is associated with the publication "How non-target chironomid communities respond to mosquito control: Integrating DNA metabarcoding and joint species distribution modelling" by Röder et al. (2023). The study investigates the ecological consequences of Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis (Bti) exposure on emergent chironomid communities in floodplain pond mesocosms during a 16-week period in spring and summer of 2020.
The dataset comprises data files and R scripts used in the investigation of the impacts of Bti on chironomid communities. Using DNA metabarcoding and Hierarchical Modelling of Species Communities (HMSC), the study sheds lights on the dynamics and resilience of chironomid communities in response to Bti treatment. The dataset provides valuable insights into taxonomic and genetic diversity, as well as the effects of Bti on chironomid body size distribution.
