Dataset for "Precipitation recycling in subtropical mountainous islands: the Hawaiian Archipelago" The following files are available: RAINFALL_RECYCLING_d02_CONTROL.nc: Rainfall recycling from the control simulation conducted from 2015 to 2019. The data correspond to domain 2 at 3 km resolution, with output provided every 30 minutes. This dataset also includes static fields such as landmask, terrain elevation, land cover, and island mask. It is used in Figures 1a–b, 2, 3, 4, and S2. RAINFALL_RECYCLING_d02_FOREST.nc: Rainfall recycling from the forest simulation conducted for the year 2018. The data correspond to domain 2 at 3 km resolution, with output provided every 30 minutes. This dataset also includes static fields such as landmask, terrain elevation, land cover, and island mask. It is used in Figure 4. RAINFALL_RECYCLING_d02_BARREN.nc: Rainfall recycling from the barren soil simulation conducted for the year 2018. The data correspond to domain 2 at 3 km resolution, with output provided every 30 minutes. This dataset also includes static fields such as landmask, terrain elevation, land cover, and island mask. It is used in Figure 4. RAINNC_d02_CONTROL_daily.nc: Daily accumulated rainfall from the control simulation conducted from 2015 to 2019.
