The data records monthly taxable sales and gross sales and use tax collected for each county in North Carolina. The extract contains monthly sales and use tax for all counties in North Carolina from 2019 to the present. However, some anomalies in the data may occur because businesses were allowed to postpone their tax filing from the first half of 2020 until July or August.
