(WFS) – Strandmüll Monitoring on the German North Sea Coast (LKN.SH – NPV)

Download service of the combined data of the beach waste monitoring of the Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Lower Saxony North Sea coasts. Beach garbage monitoring is carried out according to the OSPAR Beach Litter Guideline (2010). With up to 4 entries per monitoring year, all waste parts are recorded on predetermined 100 m transects. One monitoring year shall cover all records from the beginning of December of the previous year to the end of November of that year. The data provided here are both the verified raw data (Layer:Strandmüllmonitoring (MDI_MM_BL_WFS) and aggregated data: Mean number of garbage parts 2012-2017 (BL_ges_1217), Mean number of waste parts 2018 (BL_ges_2018), Average proportion of plastic 2012-2017 (BL_Pla_1217), Median garbage parts 2012-2017 (BL_MED_ges_1217).
