May I have this dance: A case-series examining the acute cardiometabolic demand of wheelchair dancing in recreational dancers with spinal cord injury

Wheelchair dancing involved a slow dance (i.e., rumba, 80 beats per minute (bpm)) and a fast dance sequence (i.e., salsa, 170 bpm), completed on separate (consecutive) testing days. The leading dancers (i.e., wheelchair dancers) and able-bodied partners (i.e., following dancers) were filmed while performing the sequence to allow visual confirmation of movement consistency across participants and time-points (Supplemental Videos). Any apparent inconsistencies in physiological data (Supplemental Dataset) were cross-referenced with video footage to ensure this was not due to incorrect movement execution.
