Studies of bacteria from rhizospheric soils of maize

The sample of soil and root mixture was collected from the rhizosphere of maize in Central and Northern Benin. The sample was analyzed at the laboratory of the University of Abomey-Calavi of Benin to identify by microbiological tests the type of bacteria isolated. the sample was then completed by biochemical analysis to identify the probable genus and species found. Further analysis was done to determine their plant growth promoting character in order to also establish the PGPR profile of the sample. The sample was then sent to the microbiology laboratory of the North West University (NWU) South Africa for sequencing of the bacteria
