LamaH-CE contains runoff and meteorological time series from 859 gauged catchments, along with various (catchment) attributes. The hydrometeorological time series have daily and hourly temporal resolutions, with quality flags included. All meteorological and most runoff time series span more than 35 years, enabling long-term analyses at high temporal resolutions. The basic structure of LamaH is highly similar to the well-known CAMELS datasets for the contiguous United States (https://doi.org/10.5194/hess-21-5293-2017), Chile (https://doi.org/10.5194/hess-22-5817-2018), Brazil (https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-12-2075-2020), the United Kingdom (https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-12-2459-2020), and Australia (https://doi.org/10.5194/essd-13-3847-2021), but new features such as additional catchment subdivisions (intermediate catchments) and attributes allow for the incorporation of hydrological networks and river topology in subsequent applications.
