2010年～2023年 日本の地震による死傷者数

2023年、日本では地震による死傷者が60人出ています。近年で最も多くの死傷者を出した地震は、2011年に発生した東日本大震災（東北地方太平洋沖地震）です。この大地震による死傷者の数は、行方不明者も含めるとおよそ2万9千人にのぼるとみられています。東北大震災は、日本で起きた観測史上最大の地震であり、福島第一原子力発電所の3つの原子炉がメルトダウンを起こす事態につながりました。津波による被害は地震の被害よりも深刻で、地震後に発生した津波によって多くの町が破壊されました。 

In 2023, there were 60 casualties caused by earthquakes in Japan. The deadliest earthquake in recent years was the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake (off the Pacific coast of Tohoku), which resulted in approximately 29,000 casualties, including missing persons. The Tohoku Earthquake is the largest earthquake ever recorded in Japan, leading to a meltdowns of three nuclear reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. The damage caused by the tsunami was more severe than that of the earthquake itself, as many towns were destroyed by the tsunami that occurred after the earthquake.
