Data from: ASSESSMENT OF GENETIC DIVERSITY AND STRUCTURE OF Chrysolaena obovata (ASTERACEAE) NATURAL POPULATIONS USING SSR MOLECULAR MARKERS
收藏资源简介:
Due to the great loss of biodiversity generated by the degradation of the Cerrado and the scarce information of its flora, studies about the genetic structure and population dynamics of Cerrado species are crucial to the development of conservation strategies of the remnants of this biome. Chrysolaena obovata (Less.) M. Dematteis (Asteraceae) is a tetraploid herbaceous perennial species native to the Brazilian Cerrado with great economic potential for the production of fructans. The aim of this study was to characterize the genetic diversity and structure of seven natural populations of C. obovata using nine microsatellite (SSR) loci in plants from two phytophysiognomies of the Cerrado: rocky fields and “cerrado sensu stricto”. Additionally, we tested if the metabolism of fructans varied among populations and could be used as a biochemical marker to identify populations of this species. File descriptions Population_code.txt - Contains a matrix that indicates the population_code, Population_name, Brazilian-state, Phytophysiognomy, Collection coordinates and Altitudes (m). Date_ Diaz et al.xlsx – Contains Genotypes crude of the individuals analyzed and in format GenAlex (-1 corresponding to missing data). Primer used for nine microsatellite loci (Camacho et al 2017). Carbohydrates_Diaz et al - Contains data for carbohydrates in C. obovata plant rhizophores in each population (BRA, UB, SD, SP). Location: Brazilian Cerrado
