VPRS 14561 Minute Books, Committee of Management

This series consists of the Minute Books of the Committee of Management of the Kinglake National Park. The Committee was responsible for the management of the park until the function was completely transferred to the National Parks Service in 1975.Matters dealt with included regulations framed for the use of the park, policies and proposals for conservation of the habitat and the flora and fauna of the park, matters relating to the provision of access roads and amenities buildings, the provision of safe and adequate water supplies and fire protection for the park and the appointment of rangers. Also, included within the volumes are pasted in copies of notices from the Governement Gazette relating to the park and the Committee of Management and a list of persons associated with the park and its management such as the Chairman, Secretary and members of the Committee of Management and the rangers.
