Landcover 2008

Last data update: August 14, 2018 The Lake Simcoe Watershed landcover layer was created to produce a seamless cover for the watershed depicting current land cover using the best available data. The polygons are interpreted using orthophotography and assigned a land use code, natural heritage land uses are then further attributed based on the Ecological Land Classification (ELC). This layer represents 2008 Landcover data for the LSRCA Watershed. Landcover 2008 was created using 2008 orthophotography for the LSRCA Watershed. Includes surface type, manicured type and incorporates building footprints. Digitizing of features was done at a scale of 1:1500.
