Population genomics study conducted to analyze genetic variation and population structure of Ixodes scapularis (black-legged tick) across North America. Ixodes scapulars is the tick vector of pathogens that cause Lyme disease, human granulocytic anaplasmosis and babesiosis. 82 individual female ticks were sampled from eight geographic locations across North America and an Illumina-RADseq approach was employed to identify SNP markers for population genomics analyses.
