资源简介:

Dengue is a mosquito-borne disease that affects millions of people worldwide, yet no specific antiviral treatment is currently available. This research explored betacyanins, natural pigments responsible for the red-violet colour of red spinach, to better understand their effects on dengue virus infection. Betacyanins can reduce dengue virus serotype 2 replication in infected cells, particularly during early stages of infection. In a mouse model, treatment timing influenced tissue responses, highlighting the importance of when such compounds are administered. These findings provide insights into the effects of betacyanins on dengue virus infection, and support further research into their potential therapeutic applications.
