VPRS 7934 Outward Letter Books to Other Departments and District Land Offices

This series consists of copies of outward correspondence, some of which has been copied by the letterpress method and the remainder carbon copies, and bound into volumes in chronological order by date of letter. This series consists of correspondence sent from the Department of Crown Lands and Survey to other Government Departments and District Land Offices in relation to the occupation and use of crown land.At the front of all volumes there is an alphabetical index by the name of the receiver of the letter.This series was maintained concurrently with VPRS 7935 Outward Letterbooks to General Public (between 1862 and 1942) and VPRS 7936 Outward Letterbooks Secretary for Lands (between 1863 and 1930). This series was maintained by the Department up until 1942. Outward correspondence prior to 1862 is not in archival custody.
