Ninety works of French literature published 1838-1928

This collection of novels has been put together to research the question of how developments in artificial lighting in Paris contributed to literary depictions of emotions. They were chosen the following criteria: published between 1938 and 1928 some scenes take place in Paris published in French, but not necessarily first published in French (therefore, Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities (1859) and James' The American (1877) are included in French translation). There are 90 documents in the corpus. The documents are named with year of publication, author's surname and title. The documents are sorted in chronological order, so that the oldest are at the top.
