Abstract: The axisymmetric disturbance of the Geomagnetic field caused by the ring current can be characterized by the Disturbance storm-time (Dst) index. As a key indicator of geomagnetic activity, Dst index can clearly reflect the storm onset and intensity. Due to the asymmetry of the ring current during the storm time, there are significant differences in the geomagnetic disturbance levels at different places, which cannot be accurately reflected by the globally averaged Dst index. This dataset provides the Chinese Dst (cDst) index from 2010 to 2022 based on the geomagnetic data of the meridian project in Lasa, Chengdu, Wuhan and Hangzhou. Compared with the Dst index, the cDst index can describe the geomagnetic disturbances in China better.
