Klebsiella pneumoniae WRH 2022-2023 Raw sequence reads

Klebsiella pneumoniae is a Gram-negative pathogen associated with healthcare-associated infections and the emergence of multidrug resistance. Hospital-adapted lineages of K. pneumoniae often harbour diverse mobile genetic elements that enhance their ability to persist and spread in clinical settings. To support early detection of potential transmission events and guide timely Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) responses, we implemented a prospective genomic surveillance program using Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) sequencing. This dataset represents K. pneumoniae genomes collected at Wellington Hospital between January 2022 and April 2023.
