Surface reflectivity of the Mars Advanced Radar for Subsurface and Ionosphere Sounding (MARSIS), supported by NASA grant #80NSSC23K1161.
We use data from the Optimized MARSIS Radargram dataset (https://pds-geosciences.wustl.edu/mex/urn-nasa-pds-mex_marsis_optim). Our analysis is based on the non-windowed optimized product. This dataset is derived from the MARSIS Experiment Data Record (EDR) using the Subsurface Sounding mode 3 (SS3) and additionally corrected from ionospheric frequency-dispersive phase shift. We extract the surface echo with the technique described in [Mouginot et al., 2010].
