Replication Data for “On the Uniqueness and Causal Relationship of Precursor Activity to Solar Energetic Events: I. Transient Brightenings – Introduction and Overview”: Magnetic Environment Data

These data comprise the magnetic parameters evaluated to characterize the locally stored excess magnetic energy and propensity for magnetic reconnection, i.e., the excess magnetic energy density (Leka and Barnes, 2003) and a measure for identifying strong-gradient polarity inversion lines (Schrijver, 2007). See README_mag_environ for details on the file contents. One tarball is provided for each epoch analyzed in Dissauer et al. (2025).
