Religion (ISSP 2008)

The aim of this study is to examine the attitude of the Danish population towards religion. The questionnaire mainly focused on: - Religious activities - Religious and cultural background - Attitudes towards members of other religious groups. - The perceived influence of religion on society. The ISSP standard background variables were also included in the questionnaire. This study is part of the annual ISSP surveys which are carried out in more than 40 countries all over the world. The ISSP aims at designing questions which can be translated into all relevant languages in order to make the studies comparable. ISSP was originally a cooperation between the US, Germany and Great Britain; since the 1980’s ISSP has grown to include countries from all over the world.
