资源简介:
This article examines translation as a cognitively driven activity, focusing on the role of mental processes in translators’ decision-making and text representation. The study explores how cognitive factors such as attention, working memory, inference, and professional experience influence translation choices at lexical, syntactic, and pragmatic levels. Through qualitative analysis of source and target texts, the research demonstrates that translation outcomes are shaped by translators’ mental representations rather than by direct linguistic equivalence. The findings highlight differences between novice and experienced translators and emphasize the dynamic, recursive nature of the translation process.
