They were created for disseminating Census data, specifically for the output of small area census estimates. Which layer should I choose from the list of layers below? This dataset is available in three layers: BFE , BFC , and BGC . Select the layer that best suits your intended use. For analytical work, use the full-resolution BFC or BFE layers. For mapping or visualisation, use the generalised BGC layer. Layer Description BFE Full Extent – Full-resolution boundaries extend to the Extent of the Realm (Low Water Mark) and are the most detailed. BFC Full Clipped – Full-resolution boundaries clipped to the coastline (Mean High Water Mark). BGC Generalised Clipped – Generalised to 20 m and clipped to the coastline (Mean High Water Mark).
