VPRS 12137 Notices of Motion

This series consists of notice papers for council meetings between 1961 and 1990. It is not known as at November 1999 whether Notice Papers continued to be produced and stored separately after 1985. In 2022 another consignment of this series covering 1986-1990 was transferred to PROV. The notice paper is basically an agenda for council meetings listing the orders of the day, motions and any reports or statements to be presented to the meeting. Notices of Motion usually comprise correspondence formally advising a councillor's intention to move a motion at Council, with related papers.  Notice Papers are useful as a summary of what was to be discussed at a meeting.
