Heritage Land Research List
收藏资源简介:
Heritage Land Research List is an initiative of Kris Buyse, as an extension of his research and teaching in recent years on "Plurilingual and in particular Heritage speakers in multilingual and multicultural European education and policy" (research in collaboration with the team of Red de investigación Heritage Languages in a Multilingual Europe; education in collaboration with the team of the EMELE Educational Master of Spanish). The initiative's scope is worldwide, with specific attention to Europe because of its differences with the United States: recent studies have highlighted the contrasts in demographics, education, intergenerational factors and identity as key differences of the Heritage Speakers in a multilingual and multicultural Europe, where English is by far the most learned and spoken foreign language but not the common national language of all European states (see González Melón, Buyse & Álvarez Mella 2026, i.p.). All research on this topic bundled into one website: that is the first driving force and dream, a utopia envisioned by the editor. The second dream is to offer a space where all researchers interested in collaborating on these topics can participate and collectively enrich the repository. The third is that this site can serve as the starting point for all those who are looking for information on this theme. In other words: anyone who wants to participate in this initiative is welcome to contact the editing team as soon as possible.
