Household-Level Fruit and Vegetable Waste and Nutritional Outcomes among Women and Children in Ghana

This dataset was collected as part of a community-based research study examining the relationship between household-level fruit and vegetable (FV) waste and the nutritional status of women of reproductive age and children under five in the Ho West District of Ghana. The study also assessed the effect of a nutrition education and counselling intervention on household FV waste behavior and dietary outcomes.The dataset includes household-level data from both baseline and endline surveys conducted across multiple rural communities using a stratified cluster random sampling approach. Data were collected through structured questionnaires, food frequency surveys, 24-hour dietary recalls, and anthropometric and hemoglobin measurements.
