Clinical applications of targeted next-generation sequencing (tNGS) in bilateral lung infection with ineffective initial antimicrobial treatment

Accurate antimicrobial treatment is of utmost importance for patients with bilateral lung infections. As a novel pathogen detection tool, targeted next-generation sequencing (tNGS) is highly valued clinically. However, whether tNGS can help patients with bilateral lung infections find the right treatment after an ineffective initial treatment needs to be validated.
