Wetlands were mapped using a methodology that closely followed the Queensland Wetland Mapping and Classification Methodology deviating where available datasets were at a finer scale from those used in the state-wide mapping. Springs were not mapped as a part of this process. Fields and thier descriptions are as follows: Field Description WETLAND_ID Unique ID WETLAND_AR Polygon area in sq m WETCLASS Palustrine, Lacustrine, Estuarine or Marine HYDROMOD Hydro modification code from wetland methodology SALINMOD Salinity code based on wetland methodology. S1 – fresh, S2 – Brackish, S3 - Salt WETRE RE, or if no RE descriptive text REM_STATUS Regrowth, Disturbed, non-rem or Remnant PC_CANOPY_COVER % of polygon covered by canopy > 2.5m high FLOODPLAIN This field appears in state wetland mapping but is not referenced in the methodology. Therefore we have used different notation: gcA for palustrine wetlands on alluvial floodplain. gcC for palustrine wetlands on Coastal plain. WETREPCT RE % for heterogeneous RE’s WETREGIME All WR0, not enough image dates to give an indication of the proportion of time each area is inundated. COMMENT Comments on source and specific details not stored in other fields. IE golf course waterbodies identified here as are “Transitional” zones where a tidal gate is causing ecosystems to change to fresh and RE code from vegetation mapping is may be suspect.
