we selected the model cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803, whose salt (NaCl) tolerance was enhanced from 4.0% to 6.5% (w/v) through adaptive laboratory evolution. To discover the mutations during ALE, we isolated single colonies form ALE-1, -2, -3 and -4 then performed whole-genome re-sequencing.
