Bacterial community diveristy of typically agricultural soils at provincal scale in North China Plain

A challenge in ecology and biogeography is to understand the drivers of the composition and distribution of biological communities. Here, we present a provincial-scale description of soil bacterial communities and the environmental factors driving their biodiversity. We collected 135 soil samples from Henan province in North China Plain and used a ribosomal DNA-fingerprinting method to compare bacterial community composition and diversity quantitatively across sites.
