Survey of Consumer Finances, 1971-1972 [Canada]: Household Income, Facilities and Equipment

Three surveys were used to produce this micro-data file: <br/> <br/> <ul> <li> Survey of Consumer Finances, April 1972 </li> <br/> <li> Survey of Household Facilities and Equipment, May 1972 </li> <br/> <li> Rent Survey, May 1972 </li> </ul> The Survey of Consumer Finances sought information on income received In 1971 by all individuals aged 14 or over who were members of the sampled households at the time of the survey, and on morgages held by non-farm households who owned their own dwelling. Income information for economic families and Individuals has been published from this survey in Statistics Canada report "Income Distributions by Size in Canada, 1971." Catalogue 13-207 and for census families in "Family Incomes, Census Families 1971." Catalogue 13-20B. <br/> <br/> The Survey of Household Facilities and Equipment collected information on facilities and equipment present in the sampled households at the time of the survey. This information has been published in "Household Facilities and Equipment, May 1972". Catalogue 64-202. <br/> <br/> The Rent Survey sought information on rents for all non-farm sampled households who were living in rented dwellings at the survey time.
