NIHR Integrated Academic Training (IAT) Programme Dataset

The NIHR Integrated Academic Training (IAT) Programme supports the training of doctors and dentists in England to develop their clinical academic careers. It was launched following recommendations from a UKCRC report on training recommendations for researchers (.PDF) and aims to integrate the development of academic skills with the key stages of a clinician’s career. We allocate Academic Clinical Fellowships and Clinical Lectureships to partnerships made up of organisations that have joined together to apply to the IAT programme.
