Study on the propagation law of hydraulic fractures in heterogeneous permeability reservoirs

As the development of unconventional oil and gas resources gradually shifts towards heterogeneous reservoirs with complex permeability distributions, how to effectively control the fracture expansion pattern during hydraulic fracturing has become a key issue for optimizing production capacity. To address this, a three-dimensional multi-layer heterogeneous permeability reservoir model was established based on the finite element method, and the fracture expansion mechanism during hydraulic fracturing in heterogeneous reservoirs was analyzed. This data serves as the fracture expansion data for the three-dimensional multi-layer heterogeneous permeability reservoir model.
