Dataset of neutron source characteristics study based on 3 MV tandem accelerator

Based on the 3 MV tandem accelerator neutron source of Sichuan University, this dataset gives:The data of (p, n), (d, n) reaction neutron energy and reaction cross-sections with proton (deuteron) energy of neutron target substrate materials (Mo, Ta, Cu) and absorbtion materials (Ti, Zr) calculated by nuclear reaction kinematics formula and TALYS code; The measured data of the variation of the emitted neutron intensity when protons (deuteron) with different energies bombard different target(tritium target or deuterium target, empty target, Ti, Zr, Mo and other metal targets) The data on distribution of scattered neutron backgrounds at different locations from the neutron source measured by the shadow cone method and the Monte Carlo simulation calculation. The relevant data are of great significance for the accurate neutron reaction cross section and high-level neutron physics research using the accelerator.
