The experiment was designed to study long-term changes in communities strucutre in response to global change (climatic change) and local anthropogenis pressures (e.g. eutrophication). Fine sand macrobenthic communities are monitored two to five times a year at the "Pierre Noire" site. The different parameters wich are measured are: (1) total and specific abundances, (2) specific richness, (3) biomass, (4) food web structure, (5) functional composition.
