METHODS OF DEVELOPING STUDENTS' ORAL SPEECH: A SCIENTIFIC REVIEW

This article presents a comprehensive scientific review of pedagogical methods used to develop oral speech in students across primary and secondary educational levels. Oral speech competence is identified as a foundational skill for academic success, social integration, and professional development. The study examines eight evidence-based methodological approaches — including communicative language teaching, dialogic learning, storytelling, role-play, Socratic questioning, cooperative learning, digital tools, and drama-based pedagogy — and evaluates their effectiveness based on experimental data and international research. The findings indicate that an integrated, student-centered approach, combining interactive techniques with regular reflective practice, yields the most significant improvements in oral fluency, vocabulary range, pronunciation accuracy, and communicative confidence. Practical recommendations are offered for classroom implementation.
