Supplementary Material for: Uveal Melanomas Masquerading As Inflammatory Lesions

Introduction: Most uveal melanomas are readily diagnosed based on their characteristic features, but they can occasionally pose a diagnostic challenge, such as when they present as an inflammatory mass. We present two patients who presented with an intraocular mass that was initially diagnosed as an inflammatory or infectious process and subsequently found to represent a uveal melanoma.
Case Presentations: Two cases of uveal melanoma masquerading as uveitis are described.
Conclusion: Uveal melanoma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of an intraocular inflammatory mass. Diagnosis may require tumor biopsy.
