National Survey of Information Technology Occupations 2000 [Canada] [Excel]

Two versions of Survey of Information Technology Occupations took place. One is the employee survey, the other the employer survey. Statistics Canada is conducting this survey on behalf of Human Resources Development Canada to collect statistical information on employment trends in information technology (IT) occupations. The main objective of this survey of IT employers was to study labour market conditions for IT occupations and to produce statistical information on required skills and employment-related issues specific to information technology occupations within the business service sector in Canada. This survey will provide government and businesses with up-to-date labour-market information for IT occupations within various industries and regions. The results will be used to help shape policy relating to this important group of occupations. Data collected is by NAIC codes for industry level information and NOC code for occupation level information within the industries listed.
