资源简介:
Canopy cover estimates in EFForTS-BEE: Drone-based photogrammetry dated from September to October 2016 was used to derive mean total canopy cover estimates and to partition the canopy into oil palm cover and tree cover (in %) at each of the 56 BEE plots. The dataset consists of: 1.) a table with the results (canopy cover BEE.xlsx), wherein the plot ID, mean canopy cover (mean_cover, %), the according standard deviation (sd_cover, in %), the oil palm cover (%), the tree cover (%) and the area without canopy cover ('ground', %) are presented for each of the 56 plots. 2.) the raw data that was used to derive the results, i.e. 56 georeferenced orthomosaic files of the plots and their surroundings (filenames: "orthot[plot nr.].tif") and the according 56 zip files that include .tif files partitioning the 56 plots into oil palm and tree cover, respectively (filenames: "plot[plot nr]_canopies.zip"). Areas with no oil palm and no tree cover as classified as open areas without canopy cover ('ground') (Note: some plots have no tree cover). More details on the drone-based methodology can be found in: Khokthong, W., C.D. Zemp, B. Irawan, L. Sundawati, H. Kreft & D. Hölscher, 2019. Drone-based assessment of canopy cover for analyzing tree mortality in an oil palm agroforest. Frontiers in Forests and Global Change 2, 12.
