Whole Genome sequence of a Biocontrol agent for agriculture

Several plant growth promoting bacteria were isolated from different plants growing in Punjab, Pakistan. These were screened for their potential to promote the plant growth as well as protect the plants from diseases. This strain was isolated from Cactus stem and it showed the ability for both. It was used for plant growth experiments. Primary and secondary metabolites were also extracted from this strain. Based on our results, it can be used as a biofertilizer as well as biocontrol agent for agriculturally important crops to protect them from fungal diseases.
