Reconstructed Chennai vehicle trajectory data

This dataset is a reconstructed version of the original Chennai vehicle trajectory dataset, which was collected on a six-lane divided urban arterial road in Chennai, India, and is representative of mixed traffic conditions. The original dataset is provided by Prof. Tomer Toledo and is available at: https://toledo.net.technion.ac.il/downloads/. The original dataset was re-evaluated and reconstructed to ensure data quality and internal consistency. A Multi-Step Filtering (MF) method was applied to reduce measurement errors and improve the accuracy of key variables such as speed, acceleration, and inter-vehicle spacing. This refinement has resulted in a high-quality, reliable dataset suitable for microscopic traffic model calibration and validation in mixed traffic environments. The reconstructed dataset has been utilized in the research titled "Modelling Driver Behaviour in Heterogeneous and Disordered Traffic Streams."
