Marine microbial communities isolated from the Black Sea surface water along the coast of Odessa region. Investigation of Black Sea water bacterial metagenome

Black Sea is the largest meromictoc basins in Europe and presents absolutly unique marine ecosystem. Microbial communities inhabiting these waters are the essential part of this ecosystem playing key role in all biochemical cycles and food chain networks here. Therefore the aim of the study was investigation of marine bacterial metagenomes isolated from the Black Sea surface water. Water samples were collected during September 2016 from 3 different locations along the seacoast in Odessa region, Ukraine.
