资源简介:
This dataset contains atmosphere, ocean and (offline) biogeochemical outputs (NetCDF files) from modelling experiments using a realistic Paleocene (60 Ma) paleo geography by Poblete et al. 2021, with a closed Tasman Gateway. It also includes results for sensitivity tests with an open Tasman Gateway and higher pCO2 (4x pre-industrial versus 2x pre-industrial). This set of simulations targets the impact of paleo geography and atmospheric pCO2 on Atlantic Ocean oxygenation prior to the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum. The simulations have been run using the IPSL-CM5A2 General Circulation Model (Sepulchre et al. 2020 - IPSL-CM5A2 – an Earth system model designed for multi-millennial climate simulations, GMD). It includes 3 ocean-atmosphere simulations. Biogeochemical results are from offline simulations with the PISCES biogeochemistry model. Data are monthly averages over the last 100 years of the simulations. *mesh_mask and sub-basin files contain grid information that might be useful for calculation purpose.
