Soil Microbiome Restoration in Queensland Pasture Dieback

Pasture dieback (PDB) is developing as a natural disaster for Australia. And itis a multifaceted problem affecting the grass ecosystem, with soil, bacteria, fungi, helminths and insect communities were thrown out of balance. There are three aims of this project. Firstly we will restore healthy soil bacterial and fungal community by applying products that are produced by plants. Secondly, we will conduct the cattle trial to see how the microbiome influences gut health and alter the intestinal environment. Thirdly we need to find out what combinations of grass could grow on pasture dieback and recover it.
