This repository contains experimental data used in the manuscript "Width variations control the location and stability of steps in steep streams: insight from flume experiments" submitted to Geophysical Research Letters by Saletti M. and Hassan M. A.
- The matlab script Steps_Slices.m is the the code used to identify steps from the bed elevation file DEM, using the modified version of the algorithm of Zimmermann, Church and Hassan (Geomorphology, 2008).
- The 4 subfolders contains the DEMs post-processed, as .txt files, and the photos, as .jpg files, after each hour of experiment. The name of the folder identifies the experiments and the cumulative hour after which the data have been collected (e.g. N1_06 contains DEM and photo collected after 6 hours of experiment N1).
- Each hour the unit discharge was increased as follows:
