The Malian Twitter Sphere Dataset was developed by institutions such as the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, with the core objective of collecting and analyzing Twitter data pertaining to the Malian region. This dataset encompasses approximately 56,505 Malian Twitter accounts and 10,676,046 associated tweets, with all data collected in June 2022. The dataset was created to research social media usage in Global South countries amid conflicts, particularly the impact of Mali's post-2012 conflicts on its local social media ecology.
