Dataset: SvalMIZ-25 Svalbard Marginal Ice Zone Campaign 2025 - a distributed network of temperature, waves in ice, and sea ice drift observations

Data release SvalMIZ-25: These are the data release files for the SvalMIZ-25 dataset. The SvalMIZ-25 expedition took place in April-May 2025. 21 OpenMetBuoys (OMBs) were deployed from the Norwegian Coast Guard ship KV-Svalbard, North and North-West from Svalbard. Temperature (1-meter air, snow-ice, and 30cm in ice), geographic location (ice-drift), and wave data for all 21 drifting buoys in the Arctic MIZ.
