This consultation was provided by IFLA in response to the European Commission’s 2014 Public Consultation on the Review of EU Copyright Rules. It responds to a call for input following the European Parliament’s September 2013 resolution on “Promoting the European Cultural and Creative Sectors as sources of economic growth and jobs” (T7-0368/2013), which highlighted the challenges posed by fragmented intellectual property regimes and the need for a balanced, modern copyright system.
